Reaching Out
Reaching out to the community at home and abroad through various social agencies and the Church, is fundamental for Christians to obey Jesus’ command to love one another as He has loved us. This includes those who are members of our parish family and, more so, for those outside of our church.
Volunteers from our church have opportunities to give of their time and talents in a variety of ways.
Making A Difference In Our World
At Christ Church we like to take every opportunity to reach out and help in very down-to-earth ways, whether locally, nationally or internationally. This is one way we live out our faith as followers of Jesus. These photos give a sense of our practical approach to outreach, showing: the school in Uganda at which we sponsor a number of children, skipping ropes we collected for a neighbourhood school, towels donated for a local teen emergency shelter, craft supplies we sent to children in the arctic community of Fort McPherson, and backpacks we filled with school supplies that were provided to needy teens at two high schools here in Oshawa.
These practical outreach projects are just part of the way we make a difference in the world as a community of faith, and show our love for God.
